Our RHS Horticulture adult learners have begun their courses with a fantastic range of new gardening tools, thanks to Silky Saws and Okatsune.
Both companies are industry leaders in the pruning world with a worldwide reputation for manufacturing tools using finest Japanese steel. Our learners are already using the tools to start to develop their vegetative propagation techniques, taking hardwood cuttings, and carrying out seasonal pruning tasks.
These generous gifts of new kit enhance the learning experience by providing the opportunity for learners to use different kinds of hand tools for the various tasks in the garden. They have been putting the tools and their newly learned skills to good use at the Cannington campus.
BTC’s association with Silky Saws and Okatsune contributes to our overall vision of transforming lives through innovative learning and partnerships. Our land-based team have also recently formed partnerships with Wiggly Wigglers, Somerlap and Baksaver Barrows.
BTC’s Gardening and Horticulture courses for adults range from one-day courses to RHS qualifications that run over the course of an academic year. Find out more about them here. The brand new one-day courses include Propogating, Getting to know your Houseplants, and Pruning Techniques.
