Emilie Spurgeon, an RHS Practical Horticulture student at our Cannington campus, recently had the exciting opportunity to meet renowned TV gardener Carol Klein.

Emily works as a garden trainee at Forest Lodge Gardens in Blackmore Vale, where Carol and the Gardeners World crew paid a visit to film the beautiful winter garden for a segment on scented winter flowering shrubs.

Many of our RHS students benefit from additional practical experience in volunteering roles or garden trainee positions. Emily said,

‘I’ve been working at the gardens since September and have enjoyed applying what I learn at College to my work. This has now led to meeting Carol Klein from Gardener’s World!’
