Bridgwater College’s Cannington Centre have secured Land-based Scholarships with employers from across the South West.

Bridgwater College, in collaboration with Synergy Farm Health and the University of Exeter is offering sponsorship packages for students studying courses in Agriculture and Horticulture.

Scholarships are a great incentive to award financial aid to students to help further his or her education. Our scholarships are each worth £500 and will enable the student to benefit from a 200 hour work placement with their sponsor. The scheme encourages and supports students to form relationships with businesses and employers who may look to potentially employ them upon completion and develop employability skills for their future careers.

Jeremy Kerswell, Head of Land-based, Sports and Services said,

“Scholarships are a great way for students and employers to progress the skills of an individual whilst looking to grow their future workforce. I believe this opportunity enhances a student’s education and I encourage more employers to get involved.”
