A plumbing apprentice from Bridgwater College recently competed in the National HIP! Apprenticeship Plumbing final at the Adey Training Centre in Cheltenham.
Sebastian Zornoza, who works for Plumbing Solutions in Burnham on Sea, completed his Level 2 Plumbing Apprenticeship before progressing on to the Level 3 Plumbing at Bridgwater College. He showed excellent practical skills and professionalism at the regional heats, which were held at Weston College in February, by securing first place and an invite to the national finals in Cheltenham.
Following two days of extremely tough competition, Sebastian claimed an impressive second place in a competition that displayed an exceptionally high standard of work from plumbing apprentices from across the country.
Graham Hawkins, Associate Lecturer in Plumbing at Bridgwater College said,
“We are very proud of Sebastian, he did an outstanding job of representing the College. The high quality work he produced, that really impressed the judges, leaves me in no doubt that Sebastian has a bright future ahead of him in the industry and will be very successful when he completes his course next year.”
