Five Bridgwater College football scholars that play for the colleges elite Team BC squad and also for Bridgwater Town FC played starring roles in Somerset FA's U'18 latest 3 – 1 win against Cornwall FA.
Kofi Martin, Charlie White, James Annison, Reece Malcolm and Keelan Gunningham all study on the national award winning sports science programme at Bridgwater College and have all played either for Bridgwater Town FC U18, Reserves or 1st team this year which has seen the club benefit from their partnership with the college.
Goal keeper James Annison, along with defenders Reece Malcolm and Keelan Gunningham held steadfast in the face of a physical and determined Cornwall attack, whilst county captain Charlie White provided a constant threat from the wing and Kofi Martin scored the third goal that meant Somerset topped their League to go into a play off final against either Oxford or Wiltshire who play this week to see who meets the Somerset FA side in the South West FA County Cup final on 30th April at Paulton Rovers FC, 2pm kick off.
