Team BTC travelled to SGS for the next round of the ECFA Women’s Premier Cup after a convincing result in the previous round. Team BTC had some good spells of possession throughout the half resulting in a late first half goal from Noronha who joined the attack, receiving the ball in the box from a cross and finished seconds before the half-time whistle.

A change of shape at half-time made Team BTC look a lot more comfortable in possession going into the second half. There were some great link ups between Payne and Campbell-Farmer up top, working off of our midfield three of Mills, Arnold and Puplett. Despite the more positive second half, SGS performed well throughout the game and took home the win meaning our cup run came to an end.

Our focuses now turn to next week in the AoC South-West Regionals tournament where we will have another opportunity to challenge SGS and look to continue our success of this competition from last year’s AoC National Championships victory.

POTM – Katy Pinkett for her exceptional decision making at the back.
