Netball 2s

Netball 2s played Plymouth in their first game of the season. The team worked well together throughout the whole game, with our defence intercepting and turning over the ball, to our attackers getting free and moving the ball down the court. As the game went on the team tired against a very large Plymouth squad, with the final score 33-16 to Plymouth.

BTC controlled the game for the majority of the match, with a commanding 55-15 win against Callywith. In the early exchanges the BTC forwards carried well in midfield to create opportunities which were well taken as they raced to 4 tries before half-time. In the second-half Callywith had their own moments of possession deep in the BTC half, crossing for two tries of their own. BTC rallied to take their final points tally to 55 with Jono Hayes scoring a fine hat-trick from the wing.

Basketball

Team BTC came through a close game versus Exeter’s 2nds, winning 46-44! The team started strong demonstrating strong cohesion across team play, off ball movement and hard work. Exeter grew back into the game with BTC beginning to get in foul trouble after half time, showcasing lapses of concentration. BTC pulled it back together for the final quarter with some great defence and well-timed offences. Alfie King lead the team offensively, pulling in 28 points with a mixture of inside tenacity and excellent perimeter shooting.
