Julien Temple will be visiting Bridgwater College’s The McMillan Theatre on Friday 25 September, 7.30pm, for a special benefit screening of his film, The Ecstasy of Wilko Johnson.
The film details how Wilko Johnson, ex-leader of band Dr. Feelgood’s, reacts in an unexpectedly buoyant way to very bad news. This showing will be introduced by the director himself, who will also host a Q&A after the film.
Ticket prices start from just £5 and all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust and local facility The Engine Room.
Bridgwater College’s The McMillan Theatre has on-site free parking, disabled facilities and a bar area.
Anthony Bruton, The McMillan Theatre Manager said,
“We are looking forward to welcoming Julien to the Theatre and hosting this fantastic event. This film is only showing in a few selected cinemas and theatres, and we’re the only one in the South West, so it’s a great honour to be working with all the parties involved.”
Tickets can be purchased online through mcmillantheatre.com or from the Box Office, 01278 556677.
