The McMillan Theatre’s Film Club will be screening two films during May, for both the young, and young at heart.
Birdman (15), will be shown on Wednesday 18 May, 7pm. The film tells the story of former cinema superhero Riggan Thomson (Michael Keaton) who is mounting an ambitious Broadway production that he hopes will breathe new life into his stagnant career. However as opening night approaches, a castmate is injured, forcing Riggan to hire an actor (Edward Norton) who is guaranteed to shake things up.
The Good Dinosaur (PG), will be screened on Saturday 28 May, 10am. The film follows dinosaurs Arlo (Raymond Ochoa), his parents (Jeffrey Wright, Frances McDormand) and his two siblings. When a rainstorm washes Arlo downriver, he ends up miles away from home. Arlo meets Spot (Jack Bright), a Neanderthal boy who offers his help and friendship. Together, the unlikely duo embark on an epic adventure to reunite Arlo with his beloved family.
Tickets for The Good Dinosaur cost just £2 for everyone. Birdman tickets cost £4 for non-Film Club members and £2 for members.
