The musical, which has won six Tony Awards, is based on the 1967 Academy award-winning film. The cast will recreate the height of the jazz age in New York City, where moderns, including a flapper named Millie Dillmount, enters the workforce and rewrites the rules of love.
Brittany Frampton, 18, from Bridgwater, who will be playing Millie on Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 June said,
“I have loved working on Thoroughly Modern Millie and it's been so much fun playing Millie Dillmount. She is passionate and determined and has given me a chance to stretch myself as a performer in all three disciplines; singing, acting and dance. I can't wait to perform and audition for the Level 4 Performance Arts course at Bridgwater College.”
