Being a student is about much more than gaining a qualification! It's about getting involved, meeting new people and making new friends. There are lots of extra-curricular activities and a packed calendar of social events, all of which should ensure you have a really good time beyond the classroom.
A Level Enrichment
This forms the fourth element of your academic studies. You have a choice of activities and clubs with time built into your timetable to get involved.
Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE)
Ask any employer what they most often look for in a candidate after academic achievement, and you'll soon hear mention of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
BTC Activators
BTC Activators encourage students not currently taking part in sport to increase their physical activity and to have fun doing so.

Turing Scheme
BTC has been awarded funding to support students to take up international opportunities across 8 mobility projects thanks to the Turing Scheme; the UK government's global programme to study and work abroad.
Scholarships & Specialist Bursaries
If you have a particular talent that needs nurturing or need help with finance costs we have a number of scholarships and bursaries you might be able to access.
Sport at BTC
You get more at Bridgwater & Taunton College than just a qualification. Join Team BTC and represent the College in a number of sports or get involved in non-competitive activities through BTC Active.
Student Union
The Bridgwater & Taunton College Students' Union (BTCSU) plays a key role in college life. From college parties to influencing college policy, everyone who enrols here automatically becomes a part of the Union and can choose to get involved!
Trips and Visits
It's strange to think it, but some of the most memorable aspects of your college years will most probably be when you're nowhere near College. That's because you'll be on a trip to an exciting location, developing your knowledge, meeting new people and gaining fresh experiences.
