As part of the BTC Advantage: Knowledge and Skills, and a cross-cutting theme of Digital Skills at BTC, we have created an opportunity for a limited number of students to join the Student Digital Ambassador (SDA) Academy.

Knowing your strengths and being able to articulate them is key to giving the right impression of your capabilities for your next steps. Employers have expressed that candidates often don’t know how to articulate the digital skills they possess, so we designed the SDA programme to enable evidencing of awareness/attainment through certificates and digital badges.

So, what’s the programme like? Hear from our Year 1 SDA group in this video about the programme, the impact of it on them, and what benefits students will gain by signing up and completing this opportunity.

Apply to join the SDAs

You will need to be a committed individual with time and energy to spend on actively participating in the programme in order to achieve. There will be a group on each of our main campuses. Spaces to join this programme are limited, so please register your interest and complete and hand in your application when this becomes available prior to the October half term. The groups will begin the programme after the October half term.

Rewards

As part of the SDA group, you will receive an iPad (if you don’t already have one with your course) and an Apple Pencil to use with it. This will enable you to make the best use of digital inking and have been a huge hit with our group last year.

If you achieve the passing mark on the programme, you will also be rewarded with a certificate of achievement and a digital badge which you can use as proof of your engagement with digital through the SDA programme.
