During adverse weather or other extreme circumstances, it is BTC policy to remain open so that we can continue to support our students. However, in the event of extreme conditions it may be necessary to close our facilities.

Any decision to close the main site will be made by the Principal, or a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), and an announcement made on the BTC website and through local radio.

Alternative Arrangements

During adverse conditions in which classes are cancelled or a student/lecturer is unable to attend, students should be able to access alternative lesson resources online via Blackboard or Microsoft Teams and to work independently from the LRC or from home.

Stay Safe

Students and staff are expected to use their own discretion regarding travel during adverse conditions and circumstances as travel conditions may vary widely within any given geographic area. Please leave extra time and take extra care when travelling to and from College.
