At BTC, our Academic Coaches, part of the Additional Learning Support (ALS) department, are dedicated to helping students reach their full potential. We provide personalised support both in class and in our Academic Workshop, offering one-to-one and small group sessions tailored to individual learning needs.

While we specialise in English and Maths, we also work closely with these departments to help students achieve the GCSE grades they need to progress onto their chosen courses and career paths.

In addition to in-person support, we use Century – an innovative online learning platform, to give students extra help. They can complete short learning modules, called “nuggets”, from home, and remote access is available to ensure support is flexible and accessible. Our goal is to help every student succeed, whatever their learning needs may be.
