• Have been DBS (Criminal Record Checked).
• Have a current Paediatric First Aid qualification.
• Hold an up-to-date Level 2 Food Safety certificate.

Meet the team

Caren is the Manager of Bridgwater & Taunton College Childcare Centre.

With twenty-eight years’ experience in the childcare field. Early Years became a passion after having her own children, she turned her back on her previous work in an administration role and began her journey into Childcare.

Caren studied Early Years and Education to degree level to ensure her theoretical knowledge matched her practical experience. With two boys of her own (now all grown up), Caren has experience of working as a Childminder, in a Preschool, 15 years teaching in a reception class, and the last 12 years here at the Childcare Centre, first as an Early Years Educator, working through the ranks to Nursery Manager.

Caren continually challenges herself and her team to be the best that they can. Always enthusiastic, committed and caring, she enjoy’s working alongside our amazing team of Educators, Practitioners and Support Staff; ensuring all children achieve the best possible outcomes on their individual learning journey.
