Clare Dove, Equine Yard Manager
Clare is a BHS Level 4 Coach in Complete Horsemanship and has her BHS Stage 5 Stable Managers Certificate.
UKCC Level 3 Coach and BSc (Hons) in Equine and Business.
She has a lot of experience to share with both our students and customers.

Amber
Born in 2010, 16.2hh, Irish Draught, Mare
Amber is a beautiful mare with a lovely presence. She is a lovely all-rounder who is suitable for riders of all levels.
Bandit
Born in 2013, 15.2hh, Cob, Gelding
Bandit is on loan to the College. He is an all-rounder who enjoys his work and thrives in a busy environment. He loves hacking and will stand and be pampered all day, he especially loves dressing up for student shows.
Bally
Born in 2009, 16.1hh, Thoroughbred (ROR), Gelding
Bally is on loan to the College, and is an absolute joy to have on the yard! He enjoys dressage and is an amazing confidence giver. He loves to be turned out with his friends and has an extremely gentle and caring temperament. He is an ex-racehorse with a very successful jumping career before retiring and joining us to become a school master.
Bea
Born in 2011, 14.3hh, Cob, Mare
Bea is owned by the College. She came on loan to us in 2019 and when her owner decided to put her up for sale we decided to buy her. She is a much-loved favourite on the yard and loves her jumping.
Beanie
Born in 2008, 15.2hh, Cob, Mare
Beanie is on loan to the College. She was kindly entrusted to us to bring back into work after a period of rest and just being a horse at home. She has slotted straight into the college atmosphere and became a quick favourite due to her loving personality and willingness to learn. She loves her hacking, and enjoys parking in the student drill ride team.
Bella
Born in 2014, 16.2hh, Cob, Mare
Bella is owned by the College. Bella joined the team at the beginning of 2020, she is one of our youngest horses, she is a quick learner and loves to please. She has three lovely paces on the flat and is starting to progress on to poles and jumping this year.
Dave
Born in 2005, 15hh, Cob, Gelding
Dave is owned by the College. He has an excellent temperament and is adored in the centre.
Finn
Born in 2011, 15.1hh, British Riding Pony, Gelding
Finn is one of our newest additions and is on loan to the College. He is still learning the ropes of being a college horse. He learns very quickly and will always do his best to achieve what is being asked. He loves hacking and jumping and is always excited to work. He is great at helping students become more confident around horses on the yard.
Gamble
Born in 2014, 15.1hh, Gelding
Gamble is on loan to the College. He is a fun loving, larger than life personality – when he is awake! You’ll often find Gamble flat out dreaming in his stable but don’t let that fool you; he is a sparky, fun ride under saddle while still being safe and a good teacher for the more advanced students. He is green and still learning in the school but is fantastic to lunge and has taught our students lots.
Harvey
Born in 2011, 15hh, Scottish Sports Horse, Gelding
Harvey is on loan to the College. Harvey is a very lovable character on the yard. He enjoys stable management sessions with the students, loves to go out hacking and loves any challenging pole work in his ridden sessions.
Leo
Born in 2009, 16.1hh, Irish Sports Horse, Gelding
Leo is owned by the College and is used in lessons for our more experienced riders and in BHS training. He is a jumping machine and adores show jumping and cross country.
Luigi
Born in 2008, 14.2hh, Cob, Gelding
Luigi is owned by the College, he is full of character and a real favourite on the yard. He loves showing students his dressage movements.
Peggy
Born in 2013, 14hh, Welsh C, Mare
Peggy has taught our students all about brining on and developing a young horse. She is now ready to go out and experience the world.
Prince
Born in 2006, 17.1hh, Hanoverian x Thoroughbred, Gelding
Prince has been with us since 2023, and is on loan to the College. He is a perfect gentleman under saddle. With three lovely floating paces, he is happy to teach a beginner the ropes or step up and strut his stuff with some of our more advanced BHS riders. He loves a good long rein and has taught our students all about how important ground work can be.
River
Born in 2008, 16hh, Sports horse, Gelding
River is owned by the College. He is an absolute gem for teaching people the basics in all aspects of riding. He will be anyone’s best friend after a ride, and thoroughly enjoys a scratch and cuddle. He’s a perfect all-rounder, and absolutely adores hacking and cross country. He even works with beginners and will guide you over your first-time jumping.
Sandy
Born in 2016, 17hh, Cob X, Mare
Sandy is on loan to the College and is part of our Equine Development Programme. She is a young, green horse who is still learning herself, whilst also teaching the students how to train a young horse. She is an incredibly friendly mare who very quickly became a favourite amongst staff and students for her stunning looks and cheeky personality.
Sophie
Born in 2011, 15hh, Irish Sports Horse, Mare
Sophie is owned by the College. She is a super talented mare who is our schoolmistress for shows. Sophie excels in her flatwork, loves her show jumping and is super brave at cross country.
Taz
Born in 2008, 15.3hh, Welsh D, Gelding
Taz is on loan to the College. He is a more mature gentleman who has lots of tricks to teach the students. With a background of good schooling, he is perfect for giving the students the feel of lighter, more advanced aids on the flat and is slowly gaining confidence jumping after a confidence knock prior to joining us. He is a quieter personality who loves a cuddle and a good groom.
Tinkerbell (Tinks)
Born in 2008, 14.1hh, Cob, Mare
Tinks joined us in 2024 and is on loan to the College. She was quick to become a student favourite, and loves kisses and cuddles on command. She is happy to teach a beginner rider in the school, or step up and show off her moves with a more advanced rider.
