Activity Leadership Apprenticeship
1610
“I am doing an Apprenticeship in Activity Leadership, to qualify as a fitness instructor and eventually to do my Personal Trainer Level 3.
“My job at 1610 is vast and varied, dealing with customer requests, bookings, memberships, gym kick-starts, setting and reviewing gym programmes and sometimes kids’ parties. I also help with outreach events because I have a strong customer service background and enjoy meeting new people.
“At 31 I am a bit older than the average apprentice and that might be why I enjoy study time. I genuinely enjoy researching information especially when it's to do with physiology and anatomy and various techniques used in the fitness industry. This comes from over 13 years of putting exercises theories to the test and enjoying a multitude of different group exercise classes.
“I am in the process of prepping for my competition at Pure Elite, and my dedication and commitment to building muscle has given me a strong work ethic and made me mentally stronger, and has also been the catalyst which has led me to this career path at this stage in my life.”
