They offer the perfect blend of practical and theoretical learning; think of them like a home for your hobbies, where you’ll have all the equipment you need to take your projects to the next level.
With links to professional bodies and institutions, you’re not just studying; you’re getting a taste of the real working world from day one.
So, what kind of academics can you join? Well, there’s too many to list everything here, so take a look at our website where you can find out more.
What About the Campus?
There’s not just one campus at BTC; there’s three! Most courses will be based primarily on one, which you’ll find out about during the application process. But no matter which you end up studying at primarily, our campuses are more than just educational spaces. They are vibrant communities equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
From our £7.5 million Advanced Engineering Centre to the gorgeous Walled Gardens of Cannington, to our Health and Early Years building which houses replica hospital wards, every corner of our campuses are designed to enhance your learning experience. We have facilities that are truly unique and unlike any other in the South-west.
How many College’s do you know have their very own plane and helicopter in which Aerospace students get to work on? Ever held a python, or petted a llama? What about resuscitating an NHS training dummy after cardiac arrest in a replica ward? The opportunities are endless.
What about my learning?
It’s not all about the other things that make BTC special – at the heart of the College is your learning journey. We’re proud to have expert tutelage across our programmes from some of the best teaching staff in the country.
Our students consistently achieve fantastic results and go onto either study at incredible institutions worldwide or straight into the workplace at some excellent destinations.
In 2023, A Level students bucked the national trend, working hard to achieve a vast majority of results that are better than pre-pandemic level results. 21 subjects had a 100% pass rate, with 20 subjects outperforming pre-pandemic levels in A* to C grades.
T Level students achieved equally impressive results, with Education and Early Years students securing 100% Distinction and Merit grades, 90% of Healthcare students, and 78% of Digital students.
In summary, over 30 subjects achieved a 100% pass rate, from Nuclear Engineering and Sports & Exercise Science to Business and Performing & Production Arts.
And don’t just take our word for it; this year BTC has won an unprecedented number of awards including, the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Education, Silver – UK Social Mobility Awards to The Commissioners Coin and the Microsoft Showcase College accolade.
